iTEC Level 4 Certificate in education & training

This Level 4 Certificate brings the therapist from practising to teaching. The qualification gives you all the tools and skills to deliver, manage and assess students to a high and valued standard.
This Course is aimed at individuals who want to move into teaching environment and gain an understanding of how to plan and deliver a learning session.
Modules include:
- Identifying Learner Needs
- Plan and Prepare Learning
- Delivering Learning
- Assess Outcomes
- Evaluation
- Understanding Role and Responsibility in Education and Training
- Developing, Using and Organising Resources in a Specialist area

Areas of study:
- Postural and Dynamic functional movement assessments, including gait analysis
- Principles of soft tissue dysfunction and Stages of Healing
- Special testing assessments including subjective versus objective assessments, for ligament, tendon and muscular dysfunction
- Specific sports massage techniques for relieving and managing pain and imbalance from soft tissue injury
- Avail of the opportunity to be part of a GAA Internship program, with real-life supervised learning at the pitch side and in a dressing room environment

- iTEC Level 4 Certificate in Education & Training
And for the first time in Ireland: GAA Internship Certificate in Field and Team Sports Therapy.
Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy is a prerequisite requirement for this course.

Tutor Team
Our tutor team is led by Tracy O Donoghue, a multi disciplined therapist of 20+ years, with over 15 years’ experience teaching with ITEC.
All our tutors hold qualifications in ITEC Level 4 Certificates in Education and Training and are successful in their own private clinics. Tutors teach in their specialised areas, though hold qualifications and have experience in various fields of
therapy. This will add a deeper knowledge, variety and confidence to your skills as a qualifying tutor.
